Jim Murphy is originally from the Lake Champlain region of upstate New York, but moved to Atlanta in 1999.  For the last 24 years, he has been helping his clients comply with ever increasing complexities of the income tax code. He graduated from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting; and is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Jim lives in the Peachtree Corners area of Norcross with wife Joan and daughter Sarah. He is on the pastoral counsel at his church Mary Our Queen and enjoys gardening, hiking and building sand castles with his family by seashore.
