Katherine E. Sumner was born and raised in North Yarmouth, Maine.   After relocating to Georgia, she graduated from Georgia State University with a BBA in Accounting and worked in private accounting for 15 Years. She has also worked in the public accounting for over 7 years and taught various tax classes.

She resides in Norcross, Georgia with her husband Paul and two teenage daughters. She enjoys gardening, cooking, reading, camping and traveling with friends and family. She and her husband are also very involved in the community and the schools.
